FROM THE RUINS
SERIES

BROKEN TO BEAUTIFUL

This series reflects the profound journey of finding beauty in the ashes. We often chase perfection, believing it defines true beauty—but I’ve discovered that the hardest, darkest, and most broken moments hold a deeper beauty. It’s a beauty that radiates love, authenticity, and grace—a beauty that can only emerge through the vulnerability of imperfection.

Incorporating elements of nature from the surrounding landscape of Redding, CA—sand and red dirt, water from the lake and river, coffee from local shops, and even charcoal from the remains of the Carr Fire—these paintings reflect the beauty of our community and the power of restoration and rebirth. Each portrait and abstract invites you to weave your own story of renewal—proof that even remnants of the past can be reshaped into something stunning.

Many pieces in this series were created on recycled canvases, transforming what once seemed ruined into something new and whole. The neutral, earthy tones provide a harmonious foundation, allowing the pieces to complement each other effortlessly.
