This  painting was a humbling journey of trying to capture the face of one that encompasses more than can be put into words. As I sat down to create I was torn between the fear of the Lord and the fear of man... the awe and reverence of painting the most beautiful person to have walked the earth and the critic of people who all have a version of him in their head. All I could do was pray show me your face Lord, show me your face...And I painted until I felt like I could see the love in his eyes. 
I hope as you see this painting you experience the deep, rich, endless love pouring out to you from the one that knows every step you've taken, in light or darkness, and loves you still the same.
