CREATING TRANSFORMATIVE ART THAT ACTIVATES LASTING CHANGE

Amani has a vision to create art that activates lasting change. Her passion for advocacy began with a call for artists to step up and create art for a campaign to rescue child soldiers. “When I created that painting, ‘Amani kwa Afrika’ everything came into focus for me. My yearning for justice and my love of creative expression fused. I knew I had to do more.”

Amani’s name means “peace” in Swahili, and it truly echoes her heart to see hope and restoration in the wake of tragedy. Art is Amani’s vehicle for her deeper desires—to ignite creativity, inner healing and a spiritual awareness in all who experience her work.

"My desire with these pieces is that viewing them will inspire curiosity to know and understand more about the issues they present, and propel actions to bring change."
